Looking back on my latest vacation I can easily say I had a fantastic holiday this year. I went down south for almost 3 weeks, and during that time got some really cute gifts and spent time with the ones who matter most. Christmas for me this year was much less about the tangible gifts that I received, and more about reconnecting with (to borrow a term from Super Mario Galaxy) my ’special ones’.
I want to play Will Baseball..
My now 3 year old cousin was introduced to the Wii just after it was released and fell in love with Wii Sports. I had heard from the family that this little one was really good at it and even played real golf with his dad. I was a bit skeptical that he actually knew how to play until this christmas when I saw it with my own eyes. The little boy knew when to press A and how to swing the wiimote. And he had his own set of golf clubs too.
He also knew which games he liked and disliked. He asked for the games by name, like Wii Sports and Castlevania. I let him try Super Mario Galaxy one time and that was all it took for him to remember who Mario was(He flies and collects gold coins). He loves to strum the guitar in Rock Band and Guitar Hero too. This little guy enjoys a variety of genres.
His mom said that she hoped he didn’t learn to play video games until later because she remembered how addicted we all were to playing any video game. But I guess its too late for that
I’m sure my cousin, who doesn’t have a Wii at home right now, will miss playing! But he is not going home empty handed. Nintendo DS and Club House Games will keep him company..at least for the plane ride home.
