The Indie/Pop Sounds of Bella

Bella: Pretty Mess, No one will know

I first heard the sounds of Bella a few years ago, after seeing them on Much Music’s “Going Coastal”. A friend introduced me to their music back when they had a 4-member band. I remember playing tracks from their album “Pretty Mess” while studying.

Later, I got the opportunity to see Bella perform live at Mesa Luna(this venue has since been closed down). The band members were gracious enough to take photos with us and sign our CDs. Other than hearing all my favorite tracks live, meeting the band was one of the highlights of that evening.

Recently, I heard that the band would be performing again in Vancouver, this time promoting their CD “No one will know”. I didn’t get a chance to hear as many tracks from their latest CD, so I was excited to get the chance to see them perform live. This time it was at the Media club, a terrific venue for seeing bands. I was definitely in for a treat. I did wonder how the 3-member band would sound, whether or not it would sound like the Bella I remembered. But I really didn’t have to worry, they put on a great show!

The music of Bella, an Indie/pop band whose members hail from san Francisco(Tiffany), Saskatoon(Cameron) and Vancouver(Charla), combines the band’s unique vocals with the upbeat tunes of guitar, drums and keyboard.

Here are some photos from the show:
